About
Erez Cohen
Born and raised in Eilat, I've been drawn to the intersection of visual arts and technology for as long as I can remember. I started painting with oil colors at age six under the guidance of Amir Elkaiam, and taught myself Photoshop and video editing through online communities before I was a teenager.
My path wound through electronics in an air force program, military service building amplification and communication systems, stage lighting, and programming — each chapter adding a new layer to how I think about light, space, and interaction. I studied New Media at Musrara — The Naggar School of Art in Jerusalem, and participated in the Ars Electronica Festival University program in Austria.
Today I create projection mapping, interactive installations, live visuals, and sound works — transforming physical spaces into immersive experiences. I also teach at Musrara and the University of Haifa, passing on what I've learned about creative technology.
